Portrait of a Lost Artist

Moses Jacob Ezekiel was a world-famous Jewish-American sculptor who lived and worked in Rome, Italy, for more than 40 years. He was also a loyal son of the Confederacy who became known for creating monumental works of art celebrating the "Lost Cause."  More than a century after Ezekiel's death, this timely film focuses on the life and controversial works of this once renowned artist. The film also explores the ongoing controversy over the fate of Confederate monuments throughout the United States.
